i don't know what to do for the holidays since I am always alone, and I "traditionally" spend my holidays outdoors. I'm thinking of a repeat of the Kalinawan-Batlag-Daranak trip I went to with my fellow EARTH-UST members two years ago:

took us almost four hours of trekking, caving, and river-crossing before reaching this paradise and experiencing its cold, cascading waters.. and me slipping from one of its large rocks and falling hard on my butt.

Last year, I also spent an entire December week in day-to-day outdoor adventures:

The beach that is only separated from our ancestral house by a highway. At nighttime, when I hang out at the house's azotea, I can hear the huge waves from the sea across. The sound is like an airplane perpetually taking off from the runway. Or an impending landslide. The apt word is: dumadagundong.
